The main goal of the college is to prepare the
student to meet the exciting challenges
of professional nursing. The curriculum
is dynamic, reflecting the needs of our
changing health care system. Our
curriculum balances theory with clinical
practice.
The college is staring M Sc Nursing
from the academic year 2008-09 with an
intake capacity of 20. The intake of B
Sc Nursing is also increased to 40
seats from 2008-09.
At the TGINE, the students will learn in
a variety of settings in the community
and also in the hospital settings. They
will gain experience in caring for the
health needs of the clients of all ages
and will be guided by faculty who are
experts in nursing. We have a dedicated
faculty who take part in active clinical
work and teach the students in advanced
clinical skills. Their responsibilities
include imparting knowledge , creating
new knowledge and providing services to
patients in their respective domains.
The college is involved in many campus
activities as well as nursing activities
at the intercollegiate and state level.
Our students excel in clinical practice,
academic and extra curricular
activities.
Through our carefully organized

College is starting a post graduate
program (M Sc Nursing) in the academic
year 2008-09.The subjects offered are
1) Medical surgical Nursing
2) Psychiatric nursing
3) Pediatric Nursing
4) Obstetric and Gynaec Nursing.
Planning to Start Diploma in Critical
Care Nursing.
Undertake research activities in
community and clinical nursing.
Undertake research activities in
HIV/AIDS in collaboration with
international agencies.
URBAN HEALTH CENTRE
It is situated in the ground floor of
the TGINE.
It aims at rendering primary health care
to the underprivileged population of the
nearby Tadiwala slum.
The targeted population is the antenatal
mothers and the under 5 children.
The population numbering approximately
25,000 is adopted by the TGINE for Urban
community health training for the
students.
The students visit these families and
provide comprehensive health care to
them.
At the urban health center the antenatal
and postnatal care is provided and
immunization given to the children.
