Dr. K.B. Grant established the Ruby Hall Clinic in 1959. From a small beginning as three-bedded nursing home, it has grown over the years into a well-established 500-bedded hospital, which is nationally and internationally acclaimed for its advanced health care facilities and comprehensive patient care. The Ruby Hall Clinic was converted from a private institution owned by Dr. Grant into a public charitable trust known as the Poona Medical Foundation in1966, which in 2000, was changed to the present Grant Medical Foundation.

The Tehmi Grant Institute of Nursing Education was established in1999, to train nurses for A grade Certificate examination in nursing and midwifery conducted by the Maharashtra GNM Examination Board. This facility was upgraded in 2004 into a four-year graduate program leading to B.Sc. (nursing) degree, affiliated to Maharashtra University of Health Sciences, Nashik (MUHS). The students of this Institute will be exposed to the best clinical facilities available and will be trained under the guidance of well-qualified and dedicated teaching staff. The students will be trained to become competent nurses for the first level positions in nursing, to provide quality care in hospitals and communities anywhere in the world.
